Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address submitted through a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive routine server-log information such as an IP address, browser type, page request, and timestamp. We review that information in aggregate for reliability and usage patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use limited technical or message data to operate the service, fix faults, measure broad traffic patterns, and improve reference pages. We do not sell a visitor list or construct individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to county and Texas portals, archives, library collections, or outside search services. The privacy policy of that destination governs information submitted there. This also applies to sponsored results supplied by another company.
Who Can Process It
Hosting and support providers may process server-log data for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not release it.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the site has no user accounts, it does not hold an account password or visitor profile for exposure.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, gives covered Texas consumers rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-outs. Its scope excludes publicly available information, and Texas political subdivisions are exempt as entities. Since we retain little, a request generally involves checking our contact mailbox and operational logs, then removing material found there. Use the Contact page to ask. A Fort Bend County or Texas public record is controlled by its custodian, not this reference.
Policy Changes
Updates will appear on this policy page. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
